Helping You to Manage, Overcome, and Start Thriving
Have you ever thought or felt...
“Something isn’t right”
“I don’t feel like my psychiatrist is listening to me”
“I’m tired of feeling broken. Can someone help me?”
“Why isn’t my medication working anymore?”
“I’ve been taking my meds and haven’t seen any improvement and my psychiatrist won’t try something else”
“I think I’m on too much medication, feel like I’m drugged”
“Do I even need medication?”
“I’ve tried everything, there is no hope”
Do you want to FINALLY be heard? I am your guy!
Ready to Take Back Control and Feel Better...

About Troy Kilpatrick, PMHNP-BC
I am a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner licensed in Florida.
I have 35 years of nursing experience, mostly working with underserved populations. I am very serious about your mental health care and will do my best to help you make sense of it. I provide an open, non-judgmental environment for my patients.
I focus on listening to what you are telling me. If you feel that you have not been heard in the past, I’m your guy.
Everyone is welcome here! No one will be erased! This is a safe space!
Therapy Styles:
Medication Management
I prescribe medication to help improve mental health problems. I have helped many patients see much improvement with the correct medication.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to assist patients in identifying past traumas and other experiences that have impacted their mental health, and guide them through exploring their thoughts and feelings as they work through their issues.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I use acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) to help patients stay focused on the present and accept thoughts and feelings without judgment. It can help patients move forward through difficult emotions in order to be able to put their energy into healing instead of dwelling in the past and on the negative.
Compassion Focused
I use compassion-focused therapy (CFT) to help patients experience compassion for themselves and others.
Culturally Sensitive Therapy
I use culture sensitivity therapy by being aware that cultural differences and similarities between people exist without assigning them a value-positive or negative, better or worse, right or wrong.
Eclectic
I use eclectic therapy drawing the most relevant techniques from other evidence-based therapies together for an effective, individualized treatment plan.
